Conquering Death and Sheol

B'REISHEET (בראשית)

TORAH : GENESIS 1:1-6:8

Was Death and She’ol part of original intent? Did Adam die a physical or spiritual death? Did you ever notice that the fall of ha-satan and the fall of Adam have some striking parallels? How do we return to original intent and be made clean once again?

The Fall Feasts and Sukkot

Sukkot ( סֻכּוֹתֻ) “Booths”

Readings:

Leviticus 23

There is so much to learn from the review of prophecy. We continue our series on the fall feasts. It is demonstrated that YHVH does important things on his appointed times. Furthermore, we delve into the Jubilee and other, “Declarations,” made during this season.

The Day of Justice and Righteousness

Yom Kippur (יוֹם כִּיפּוּר) “Day of Atonement"

Readings:

Leviticus 23; Numbers 29; Joel 2 and 3 Hebrews 9

Prophecy is reviewed. We learn the prophetic significance of YHVH’s appointed times. We look at how our ancestors including the prophets viewed this day. We also discuss practical ways to observe, “Afflicting our souls,” today. Finally, we see that justice and righteousness will be enacted this day as our King sets up his Kingdom.

Yom Teruah and Yeshua's Coronation

Yom Teruah (יוֹם תְּרוּעָה) - Day of Shouting or Trumpets.

Readings: Deuteronomy 29:9-31:30; Isaiah 61:10-63:9, Daniel 7: 9-14; Luke 24:1-12/Luke 24:13-43

As we enter the Fall seasons, from the Feast of Trumpets, until the Yom Kippur – this is a period of repentance, and preparation for the coming of our King. Each year we do this as a dress rehearsal, because some day in one of these seasons Yeshua will return. We look in to how Yom Teruah is also known as Rosh Hashanah. It should be reiterated, the Feast of Trumpets is the Coronation Ceremony of Yeshua our Messiah!

This teaching is a re-post from last year (2017). We thought you guys would like to review it. The lesson combines Nitzavim/Vayelech.

This covenant was not just made with our ancestors, but with each one of US! So, how do we apply this in our walk today? Also, what does it mean to be an elder? What did it mean in the time of Moses? How did the prophets or even Sha’ul (Paul) delineate that role?

Where Should I worship?

Ki Tavo (כִּי-תָבוֹא) “When You Enter”

Torah:  Deuteronomy 26:01-29:08

Is there a proper way and even a place to worship? What is TRUE worship? Did YHVH intend for us to have 33,000 Christian denominations, thousands of Messianic "splinter groups, and dozens of Jewish sects? Did the father's original intent of a centralized place of worship get set aside when Yeshua said: “21 Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 But an hour is coming—it is here now—when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people as His worshipers. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must  worship in spirit and truth (John 4:21-24).” And, what about the patriarchs who made altars all over Israel? Were they breaking Torah?
